Why is the Mind & Body Power program different?
Mind & Body Power is an online program to combat obesity from an individual and family perspective based on:

Most programs look at nutrition and exercise with some behavioural modification/psychology whereas this program targets the mind and helps people to develop the knowledge and skills required to maintain motivation and confidence in all aspects of their lifestyles including nutrition and activity.
The Mind & Body Power program’s philosophy is change gradually and you will change for a lifetime. Many other programs make people change everything at once and this creates anxiety and pain/discomfort and ultimately is unrealistic long-term.
How was the Mind & Body Power program developed?
The program was developed by all of the experiences of psychologist and fitness coach, Kellee Waters, who has struggled with her own weight issues. Kellee has continued to evolve the original program by using the experiences of her clients and new, eclectic psychological techniques and tools.
What are the goals of the Mind & Body Power program?
The aim of Mind & Body Power is to empower people to develop their own long-term weapon for success against obesity – themselves, their life choices and their support systems.
How long is the Mind & Body Power Program?
The program is for 16 weeks. Most programs are for approximately 12 weeks or 3 months. The Mind & Body Power program is a more gradual program than most. We believe that if you make gradual changes over time this will help you to sustain healthy lifestyles long-term rather than short-term. The extra support you receive over the time through connecting to people who are going through the same things will help you to stay on track. The information sent to you and provided on the website will help you to better cope with daily life issues that arise and may sabotage you.
How much weight can I expect to lose?
Weight and how much someone loses on the program is not the main focus but how much they gain in self-awareness and health in all aspects of life. By changing relationships, with yourself, others, food and activity you will change your weight but most importantly your health.
What do I receive in the program?
The program targets all of the issues that may have sabotaged you in the past and/or are currently sabotaging you including yourself, the people around you and your relationship with food and activity. Each week you will gain greater insight into all aspects and gradually learn how to improve your life, lifestyle and relationships with confidence. See the PROGRAM outline for more week by week program structure.
Who can join the Mind & Body Power program?
Anyone who wants to become a better version of themselves – body and mind. This is a program for individuals, couples, families and friends. The more people that are involved in your support network the better this program will work for you and them. Even if some of the members do not have weight to lose, this program will help them improve skills and knowledge in other areas of their lives.
What age do you have to be to partake in the program?
The minimum age is 18 year. If joining as a family, at least one family member must be over the age of 18 years. Any adult who has children in their care, undertaking the program must sign a disclaimer of responsibility.
What diet does Mind & Body Power adhere to?
None! The Mind & Body approach is about education on nutrition, good food choices, appropriate portions to eat and how to eat for energy and health. It is not an approach based on deprivation and starvation. We do not count calories, fat or sugars. However, we help to educate you on understanding how to identify what you eat, how much you eat and why you eat.
