Body for Life Challenge

Mind & Body Power and Genesis Fitness Clubs are joining forces!

Genesis Windsor, Queensland is running a 12-week Body For Life challenge starting 28th September, 2009. To help everyone who joins the challenge achieve what they want, the Mind & Body Power psychological tools are going to be implemented into the program. The same tools will help those who join to sustain their hard work, long-term.

The challenge is more than just changing your nutrition and adding in cardio and resistance training every week. You are making changes and when any change occurs their is resistance. Resistance can and may occur and include:

  • old habits being difficult to break – behaviours, thoughts, emotions
  • cravings
  • stress
  • emotional overeating
  • emotions
  • time management
  • managing other people
  • relationships
  • support
  • sabotage – internal and external
  • and on and on it goes………….

To minimise resistance and increase support and achievement, you need to know how. Awareness, understanding, knowledge and skills are all of the things you will begin to learn in our brief but informative sessions.

If you feel as though you need a little more help either on your own, with your partner or family or as a group, then private sessions are available.

About

The Mind & Body Program is the brainchild of psychologist and fitness coach Kellee Waters. It is a free resource offered to Australian familes to help combat the growing trend of obesity within the community.

Our sixteen week program targets obesity from a psychological foundation, with an individual and family perspective combining nutrition, activity and skill based education. Our holistic approach not only addresses the problems associated with weight gain and bad eating habits but also aspects such as a lack of motivation and activity, family stresses and a large array of additional problems with obesity for both adults and children.
