Mind and Body Motivation Quotes – Beginning the Journey

By Kellee

The start on any new journey or path can be overwhelming and anxiety provoking because you don’t know where to start. There are so many things to change and so many different options to choose from. Staying within your comfort zones is easier than feeling the anxiety of change and not knowing how to cope with new challenges that arise. Without change you will never learn and grow and develop into the person you would like to be, have the things in life you would like to have and end your life journey where you dream of.

If you think of change like a staircase with numerous step you will get overwhelmed. A better way to look at change is like a step ladder with only a couple of steps to tackle at once. If you make small changes or only a couple of changes rather than large changes or lots of changes at once then it allows you to improve your self-belief, self-efficacy, motivation and enthusiasm for further changes.

A journey starts with just one single step not many at once.

Here are some quotes that will help you to start your journey and help you along the way when you get overwhelmed and feel like returning to your comfort zones.

To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time,

but we must keep on stepping.

Chinese Proverb

It is good to have an end to journey toward;

but it is the journey that matters,

in the end.

Ursula K. LeGuin

Too often we are so preoccupied with the destination,

we forget the journey.

Anonymous

There is great meaning in life for those who are willing to journey.

Jim England

Success is a journey, not a destination.

The doing is often more important than the outcome.

Arthur Ashe

The only journey is the reward.

Chinese Proverb

The journey between what you once were

and who you are now becoming

is where the dance of life really takes place.

Barbara Deangelis
